The Robotics 8.1 course extends the Robotics 7.1 EV3 courses by adding the programming of the EV3 Color sensor. Students will learn how the Color sensors works, how to use the color sensor’s data for line following, how to sort objects, and much more. Next, we show students how to combine different sensors to create a smart robot. Students will use the knowledge they learned during the line following lesson and add the distance sensors readings to create obstacle avoidance robots. Ever heard of a Gyro sensor? We will show students about Gyro sensor usage and how to work with an Infrared Sensor in Beacon detection mode. Finally we will combine all sensors. Does this sound advanced?
