You don’t always have to think big to make amazing discoveries. In fact, sometimes you have to think very, very small and take your quest for the unknown to a cellular level.
Join us as we explore the intersection of nature’s creatures and robotics! The field of Biorobotics focuses on robots that emulate or simulate living biological organisms. In this hands-on class students produce a series of mechanized contraptions ranging from robotic insects to real programmable robots. Campers learn about the hardware and coding that’s required to create machines that model living and breathing beings. Kids also explore their creative side with science themed activities that relate to biology and dive into the world of microscopy with prepared slides and their captured specimens.
