Escape rooms are live-action team-based games where players discover clues, solve puzzles, and accomplish tasks in one or more rooms in order to accomplish a specific goal (usually escaping from the room) in a limited amount of time. We have adapted this concept and integrated Robotics and Coding. Problem-solving, creative plots, strategic thinking, and teamwork under pressure makes escape rooms exciting and memorable. In order to help their robots escape students must write code, troubleshoot and use computational thinking. Campers will build puzzles and tasks that robots have to complete in order to exit the ‘Escape Room’. The puzzles and tasks are usually controlled by Hubs and Motors and use Sensors to detect actions or events.
