More than ever, it makes sense for young people to band together to innovate and solve problems. In FIRST LEGO League, participants are part of a thriving community brimming with inspiration, creativity, and hope for a stronger, more sustainable future—one that’s built better together.
The 2022/2023 FIRST® LEGO® League season launches August 2022! FLL teams at Code4Bots participate, collaborate, and compete with over 100,000 students across the world to help the environment and the world-at-large.
Tomorrow’s innovators practice imaginative thinking and teamwork. Guided by adult Coaches, FIRST LEGO League teams research a real-world problem, and are challenged to develop a solution. They also must design, build, and program a robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS®, then compete on a table-top playing field.
It all adds up to tons of fun while they learn to apply STEM / STEAM concepts, plus a big dose of imagination, to solve a problem. Along their discovery journey, they develop critical thinking and team-building skills, basic STEM applications, and even presentation skills, as they must present their solutions with a dash of creativity to judges. They also practice the Program’s signature Core Values.
Explore your energy journey. How can you reimagine a better energy future? It starts here, with your critical thinking and innovation leading the way to tomorrow’s energized world with FIRST ® ENERGIZESM presented by Qualcomm.
The FLL program is approximately 6-8 months long, based on how the team performs at competitions.
It is important that participants and parents make a commitment to the team for a minimum of 6 months.
